STEM for Women

Hello STEM teachers of Skyline High School, My name is Rachael Miller, and I'm the Outreach Officer for the University of Michigan Girls in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (gEECS) club. GEECS is hosting an event for local 9th-12th grade girls to visit our campus and learn about computer programming and careers in technology. We think this is an excellent opportunity for young women to learn about STEM fields, and we're looking for interested participants. We contacted you because we're looking for local teachers to pass along this information to their female students that they believe would benefit from this workshop. Would you be willing to let your students know about this and/or put us in touch with other teachers that may be able to help? I've attached a PDF with more information about the event. Thank you for your time, and please contact us at girlscode@umich.edu if you need any more information. Best, Rachael Miller University of Michigan Undergraduate CSE Girls in EECS Outreach Officer
